Burchett: Only Trump Can Break the UFO Cover-Up – ‘Even the President Is on Need-to-Know’
With the April 14 deadline for the Pentagon to hand over 46 classified UAP videos now four days away, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) made his most explicit case yet that President Donald Trump is the only figure in government who can force real disclosure.
In an interview published today, Burchett described a system designed to prevent transparency at every level. He said recovered materials and evidence are not held in traditional government channels but have been distributed across private contractors – making Freedom of Information Act requests useless. Even the president, he claimed, operates on a “need-to-know basis” when it comes to the most sensitive UAP information.
Burchett dismissed the possibility that the objects are Chinese or Russian technology: “If such advanced technology existed within those countries, it would already have shifted the global balance of power.” He pointed instead to phenomena that “current science cannot fully explain” and warned that some agencies may exploit public fascination with UFOs to secure funding for programs that officially don’t exist.
He also revisited the Roswell incident, suggesting accounts he’s heard describe a possible mid-air collision involving unknown craft – and noted how the original “flying saucer” narrative was quickly replaced by weather balloon explanations. Despite his push, Burchett admitted he doesn’t expect full disclosure soon: “The system is too deeply entrenched.”
The remarks land as Congress awaits the Pentagon’s response to Luna’s April 14 deadline – the most specific demand for classified UAP evidence ever made.

Burchett: ‘I’ve Seen Pictures’ – Tells Stephen A. Smith He Spoke With White House About Disclosure Today
In a separate interview on Stephen A. Smith’s SiriusXM show, Rep. Tim Burchett made his most personal claim yet: “I’ve been briefed and seen pictures.” He described SCIF briefings where military and intelligence officials presented conflicting accounts – with some asserting UAP don’t exist while uniformed military personnel insisted otherwise.
The most notable detail: Burchett said he had spoken with White House officials earlier that day specifically about UFO disclosure. “I had a conversation with folks at the White House today, just about that,” he said. “Hopefully some things will be coming out soon.”
He urged President Trump to push for transparency, calling him “the guy to do it” and “a disruptor.” He also warned against trusting AI-generated evidence circulating online: “Don’t believe any of this stuff you see on the internet, this AI stuff. I wouldn’t believe it unless I saw it with my own two eyes.”

Missing Rocket Scientist Is Sole Surviving Inventor of Critical US Defense Alloy
The disappearance of Monica Jacinto Reza – a NASA JPL materials scientist who vanished while hiking in the Angeles National Forest last June – took a new turn today as the Daily Mail published a dedicated investigation into her defense ties.
Reza, 60, is the only surviving co-creator of a 2010 patent for a specialized burn-resistant metal developed with colleague Dallis Ann Hardwick, who died of cancer in 2014. The alloy, known as Mondaloy, is a nickel-based superalloy designed to resist ignition while maintaining strength under extreme heat – a combination no previous material achieved. It was used in the AR1 rocket engine, built to replace Russian-made RD-180 engines on United Launch Alliance rockets carrying military satellites, missile-warning systems, and other national security payloads.
The Daily Mail highlights that Reza’s research received direct funding from the US Air Force Research Laboratory – commanded at the time by retired Major General William Neil McCasland, who himself went missing eight months after Reza’s disappearance. Both vanished while reportedly hiking. Neither has been found.
Reza was last seen approximately 30 feet behind her hiking companion on a ridgeline near Mount Waterman. She waved – and was never seen again. Months of searches involving hundreds of personnel, helicopters, thermal imaging, dogs, and drones recovered nothing.
She is one of at least nine scientists with ties to US aerospace, defense, or nuclear secrets who have died or disappeared in recent years.

Kacey Musgraves Films Three UFO Orbs From Her Jet – Pilots Say They See Them ‘Every Night’
Country music star Kacey Musgraves documented a prolonged UFO encounter during a private flight from Fort Worth, Texas, to Nashville on April 10, posting video to her Instagram Stories.
Musgraves and her manager spotted three orange orbs that followed the aircraft for approximately 45 minutes, beginning over Little Rock, Arkansas. The objects changed size and brightness, formed triangle patterns, and moved in ways inconsistent with any known aircraft. “These orbs were not moving like any craft that we can control,” she said. “They were intermittently coming and going, forming triangle patterns.”
After landing, both pilots confirmed they had watched the same three objects – and told Musgraves they had been seeing them every night. Other pilots were reporting them as well, they said, but “nobody knows what they are.” One pilot mentioned sightings over New York; another over Dallas.
The sighting adds to a growing pattern of pilot-reported luminous objects at altitude. Musgraves joins a list of public figures who have described similar encounters, though her case stands out for the duration, the pilot corroboration, and the pilots’ claim that the phenomenon is a nightly occurrence.

Whatever Was Orbiting Earth Before Sputnik, It Responds to Solar Storms. Plate Defects Don’t.
An independent researcher has introduced a new physical variable into the debate over mysterious 1950s transients on astronomical photographic plates – and it deals a serious blow to skeptical explanations.
Kevin Cann published a preprint on April 2 showing that transient detection rates in the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS-I) archive anticorrelate with geomagnetic storm activity. During quiet conditions, 17.4% of observation days show transients. At Kp 8–9 (severe storms), that drops to just 2.4%. The trend is monotonic and statistically significant at p = 0.0007.
This is the opposite of what cosmic ray hits would produce – cosmic ray flux increases during geomagnetic storms. Plate defects, meanwhile, have no mechanism to track geomagnetic conditions at all. Both explanations fail the dose-response test.
Even more striking: when Kp and lunar-phase controls are added to the logistic regression, the previously reported correlation between atmospheric nuclear tests and transient rates strengthens from 2.6 sigma to 3.1 sigma (p = 0.002). Nuclear test days are not geomagnetically quieter than baseline – they are slightly more storm-influenced – so the signal is not an artifact of calm conditions.
Cann’s interpretation: a fraction of the VASCO transients represents a population of objects physically coupled to the radiation belt environment near geosynchronous altitude. Combined with the earlier finding of a transient deficit in Earth’s shadow – and independent confirmation from Hamburg Observatory plates – the artifact explanations are running out of room.

Congress Just Named 46 Classified UFO Videos – and Gave the Pentagon Five Days to Hand Them Over
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), chair of the House Federal Secrets Task Force, has sent Secretary of War Pete Hegseth the most specific congressional demand for UFO evidence in history: a four-page letter listing 46 individual classified military videos by date, location, platform, and operational callsign – with a deadline of April 14, 2026.
The clips span a decade of encounters across war zones, oceans, US military installations, and restricted airspace. Among them: an Air National Guard F-16 shooting down a UAP over Lake Huron with an AIM-9X missile (February 2023), multiple spherical objects diving in and out of water near a classified submarine (March 2022), and formations near Iran and Syria exhibiting instant acceleration. One insider told the NY Post: “You’re gonna see some weird f**king s**t.”
Luna’s letter invokes House Rule X – the Oversight Committee’s power to investigate “any matter” at “any time.” It follows months of frustration with AARO, which the task force has called “less than adequate.” In February, Luna told reporters that briefings and videos she had reviewed showed evidence of “advanced technology” not created by mankind and referenced “interdimensional beings.”
The deadline falls on a Monday. Five days from now.

Diamond-Shaped UFO Reported Over Northern Minnesota – Mayor Among Witnesses
Multiple residents near Bemidji, Minnesota, reported UFO sightings between April 1 and 7, including the city mayor and a district forest ranger. Witnesses described a diamond-shaped form with three flashing red and green lights east of Cass Lake, roughly 30 miles from Bemidji. Others saw a small white dot moving quickly from east to west through the night sky.
District Forest Ranger John Nelson drew public attention to the reports. Local authorities have not commented. The Bemidji area has a history of similar sightings dating to the 1970s – but the presence of the mayor among this week’s witnesses gives the cluster unusual credibility for a rural sighting report.

Burchett Introduces Bill to Terminate Pentagon UFO Office
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) filed H.R. 8197 on April 8 – a bill that would dissolve the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), the Pentagon’s troubled UAP investigation unit, and prohibit the creation of any future centralized UAP office within the Department of Defense or the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Under the bill, AARO’s functions would be distributed across existing DOD components rather than consolidated under a single desk. The legislation formalizes months of congressional frustration with AARO, which the House Federal Secrets Task Force has called “less than adequate” in its responsiveness. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna called for AARO’s defunding in March, to which Burchett replied: “Agreed! They are done.”
The bill’s most striking provision – banning any future centralized UAP authority – reflects a theory shared by several members of the UAP Caucus: that concentrating UAP oversight in one office makes it easier to capture, control, and ultimately suppress information. Whether the bill advances or serves primarily as a marker of congressional intent, it represents the most direct legislative attack on the post-2022 UAP institutional framework to date.

Nick Pope, ‘The Real Fox Mulder,’ Dies at 60
Nick Pope, the former UK Ministry of Defence official who ran Britain’s UFO desk from 1991 to 1994, died on April 6, 2026, at his home in Tucson, Arizona. He was 60 years old. The cause was Stage 4 esophageal cancer that had spread to his liver, diagnosed in February 2026.
Pope spent 21 years at the MoD, but it was his three-year posting to Secretariat (Air Staff) 2a – the department’s UFO investigation unit – that defined his public life. He fielded approximately 1,200 UFO reports through a dedicated hotline, investigated cases including the Rendlesham Forest incident, and briefed government ministers on potential defense threats from unidentified aerial phenomena.
After leaving government, Pope became one of the world’s most recognized commentators on UAP – earning the nickname “the real Fox Mulder” from media. He appeared on Ancient Aliens, NewsNation, and dozens of documentaries and news programs. Despite his terminal diagnosis, he continued conducting interviews from his home during his final weeks.
His wife, Professor Elizabeth Weiss, confirmed his passing: “My heart is breaking – Nick passed away this afternoon at our home. I was so lucky to have met and to have married Nick. He was a wonderful husband. I loved him dearly.”

FOIA Records Reveal 22 Drone Incursions at US Nuclear Power Plants – Including a Triangular Object With Spotlight
Liberation Times has obtained NRC records documenting 22 drone incidents at US nuclear power plants between September 2022 and February 2023 – records the NRC sent to AARO under the 2022 NDAA requirement to track unidentified aerial activity near nuclear facilities.
The most striking case occurred at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station in Pennsylvania, which logged eight incidents in just over a month. On September 26, 2022, eight drones entered the plant’s airspace for approximately two hours and 45 minutes. A week later, on October 3, at least four drones approached from multiple directions – three appeared to be quadcopters, but a fourth was triangular in shape and carried a large spotlight. The drones displayed red, green, white, and blue lights.
Columbia Generating Station in Washington state accounted for nine incidents across nearly three months, with one drone estimated at 8 to 10 feet in diameter. The site sits four miles from the decommissioned Hanford Ordnance Works, which has a documented history of UAP activity dating to the Manhattan Project era – including a 1945 pursuit of a “bright ball of fire” and a 1952 radar encounter described by Project Blue Book director Edward Ruppelt.
Former State Department analyst Marik Von Rennenkampff told Liberation Times the pattern is alarming: “An unknown actor is systematically asserting dominance over the most critical and sensitive military sites in the United States.” The incursions parallel recent lockdowns at Barksdale Air Force Base and Langley Air Force Base.

Burchett: Military Briefings Describe Five Underwater UAP Base Locations Off the US Coast
In a series of interviews this week, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) disclosed that military officials have briefed him on five or six specific locations in US waters where intelligence suggests submerged UAP facilities may exist. Burchett said naval personnel have reported encounters with underwater craft moving at “hundreds of miles an hour” – far exceeding the roughly 40 mph top speed of US submarines.
He described one documented case involving an object “as large as a football field” underwater, citing a high-ranking admiral as his source. Burchett’s theory: these entities “have been on this earth for who knows how long” and may have occupied deep-water areas for millennia, rather than recently arriving from space. He noted that over 70% of Earth’s surface is ocean, with less than 15% of it explored.
In a separate Newsmax interview, Burchett warned that full disclosure of what he’s been briefed on “would shake public faith” and added the now-routine caveat: “I’m not suicidal.”

Connecticut Advances Bipartisan Bill for State-Funded UAP Study
The Connecticut General Assembly’s Appropriations Committee approved H.B. 5422, a bipartisan bill directing a nonprofit agency to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena sightings across the state. The contractor must complete research and report findings to the legislature by July 1, 2027.
The bill was introduced by Rep. Joe Hoxha (R-Bristol) with Democratic co-sponsor Rep. Aundre Bumgardner of Groton. An earlier draft had tasked the University of Connecticut with leading the research – UConn officials requested $300,000 for a faculty researcher, graduate assistants, and equipment – but the committee redirected the work to a nonprofit.
If signed into law, Connecticut would become the second US state to formally establish a UAP research program, after New Jersey’s law took effect in January 2026. The bill received public testimony from supporters including a Yale PhD student.
The legislation responds to ongoing resident concerns about unexplained aerial lights and objects, particularly in the wake of the New Jersey drone mystery that triggered nationwide attention in late 2024.

Daylight Fireball Streaks Over NJ Drone-Mystery Zone – NASA Confirms Meteor
A rare daylight fireball blazed across the northeastern United States at 2:34 PM EDT on April 7, generating 260 eyewitness reports, seven videos, and nine photographs submitted to the American Meteor Society. Observers from Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania described a brilliant green and blue object with trailing red and orange fragments – some comparing the brightness to the moon.
NASA confirmed the object was a natural meteor. It entered the atmosphere at an altitude of 76.8 km (47.7 miles) above the Atlantic Ocean off Mastic Beach, Long Island, traveling southwest at approximately 30,000 mph. It disintegrated 117 miles later above Galloway, New Jersey – just north of Atlantic City. Multiple witnesses reported hearing a sonic boom.
The trajectory placed the fireball directly over the same stretch of New Jersey coastline that was ground zero for the drone mystery in late 2024. It also lands in the middle of a historic fireball surge – the AMS logged 2,046 fireball events in Q1 2026 alone, the highest in its 15-year recording series. DIA Program Director: ‘This Is UFO Disclosure As Far As It Can Go’
Dr. James Lacatski, the nuclear engineer who directed the Defense Intelligence Agency’s AAWSAP (Advanced Aerospace Weapons System Applications Program), appeared on the WEAPONIZED podcast to discuss his fourth book drawn from unreleased program files.
Lacatski, who oversaw what he describes as the world’s largest UFO data warehouse – containing over 100 detailed reports – said flatly: “No one in government knows the full story about UFOs or where they originate.” He called his books “the closest thing to full disclosure the public might ever get” and expressed doubt that the actual government files will ever be released.
The new book, Future Visions, details technical information about UAP cloaking capabilities and investigations conducted at Skinwalker Ranch during AAWSAP’s operational period (2008–2012). The program, initially funded at $22 million through the DIA, has been at the center of the UAP disclosure debate since its existence was first revealed in 2017.

Burchett: Briefings Describe Both Alien Life and Recovered Machinery – ‘Tim, They’re Real’
In a video interview circulating this week, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) delivers his most detailed account yet of what he’s been told in classified UAP briefings – and it goes further than anything he’s said on camera before.
Asked directly whether his briefings described recovered alien technology, biological life, or both, Burchett answered without hesitation: “You’d be safe to say both.”
He described a recent secure briefing – roughly two weeks prior – where a source provided specific addresses, dates, names, and locations of meetings that “went all the way up to the executive branch of previous presidents.” He said a colleague present appeared to be there specifically to disrupt the session, but the source answered every question regardless.
On the question of threat, Burchett struck a measured tone: “They could have destroyed us with a blink of an eye. I don’t think we’re in danger… but they have the technology and capabilities of something that we can’t understand or we can’t grasp.”
He also recounted a private encounter with a very high-ranking naval official who described an underwater craft “big as a football field moving at over 200 miles an hour.” The official left Burchett’s office through a side door nobody uses, pulled him aside, and said: “Tim, they’re real.”
Burchett validated Matt Gaetz’s alien hybrid breeding claims, confirming the source was “an officer in uniform” and calling it “a true story.” He also revealed new detail about a Florida base visit: he, Gaetz, and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna traveled to a military facility and were turned away at the door – until Gaetz called someone at the Pentagon. “All of a sudden they opened the doors and brought the pilots in that were supposed to tell us the story in the first place.”

Ninth Scientist Tied to US Secrets Dead – NASA JPL Cluster Draws FBI and Congressional Attention
The Daily Mail reports that Michael David Hicks, a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory research scientist involved in the DART asteroid deflection project, died on July 30, 2023, at age 59 – with no cause of death ever made public and no autopsy on record. He is the ninth person with ties to America’s space or nuclear secrets to die or mysteriously vanish in recent years.
Three of the nine had close ties to JPL. Frank Maiwald, a JPL Principal who led a 2023 breakthrough on detecting signs of alien life, died July 4, 2024, at 61 under unknown circumstances – with zero public acknowledgement from NASA. Carl Grillmair, a Caltech astrophysicist whose work was supported by JPL, was murdered on the front porch of his home on February 16, 2026. His work on NEOWISE and NEO Surveyor telescopes used the same infrared tracking systems relied on by the military for satellite and hypersonic missile detection.
Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker told the Daily Mail: “You can say these are all suspicious, and these are scientists who have worked in critical technology.” He warned that China, Russia, and even US allies have been targeting Americans with knowledge of sensitive technology for decades.
Rep. Tim Burchett added: “The numbers seem very high in these certain areas of research. I think we’d better be paying attention, and I don’t think we should trust our government.”
